Well not on Newegg, but it works the same on other sites. Bill me later is exactly what it sounds like. You get to pay for stuff over a certain period of time, interest free. After that time is over you start paying interest every month that it dosen't get paid. I bought my i5 with Bill me later (total 450, had 400 at hand)

How long was that period of time for you, what interest rate, and how much did you have to put up first? (sounds like you needed to pay a percentage first)

So the interest will start counting since the moment I buy it but if I pay the full price of that thing winthin X months the interest will not be counted in the bill. Is that what you saying ? If it is then I'm rocking Black Friday hardcore style    :D  :D  :D

YOu have no idea how many people get screwed in the ass by this system. Like, entire COUNTRIES get screwed by this system. Don't do it.

It says it give me 6 months to pay and I will have enough money in mostly 3 months (prob 2). So if what I said is true and that's how it works then I should not worry about it right ?

I have 6 months to pay it off, I've already paid off most of it just got to finish the rest. I have no idea what the interest rate is because I don't plan on paying any interest. And also no down payment at all.

Problem is, promises are very hard to keep unless they're in solid, hard writing. Paypal's version of this is widely known to be a cheap scam. Just be cautious.

Not true, if you can afford it then why not. If you need a bit more money than you currently have, then go for it, but if you don't even have half of the total price, then stay away. It's not a bad system, it's just that people don't know how to use it. This is the most generalized statement ever.

Honestly, that sounds like a really good deal.

I have enough cash to get what i want for Black Friday but i could really save some time using this.

6 months, that's even generous i'd say.

Using Bill Me Later or just Newegg in general?

I've had trouble paying for items on Newegg before; i'd have to call my bank and have them accept transfers from Newegg.

Go for it if you know you can pay it off. But check your total amount, you might want to order a few things so it can give you 6 months instead of like 4 or something, it varies based on the amount, but 200+ is always 6 months.

Oh yeah, i'm definitely getting the 6 months then.

Honestly, if this is actually what Newegg is doing it's pretty generous.

If i were running that business with that kind of paying option i would cap out at 3 months.

They never actually "took" the money. What happens is they have the credit organization place a hold on the funds, and subtract it from your balance. Then the credit organization settles the amount at a later time. What probably happened was newegg had an issue with their bank account, so they canceled their hold on the funds and then placed it again when everything was fixed

It's called "paypal credit" now, bill me later was its old name. It's pretty much a credit card with 0% apr for 6 months for every purchase.

Let's say you bought a system for 1500 dollars, you pay with bill me now(paypal credit) and you have 6 months to pay it off. No minimum payments for 6 months. If you paid it off great, if you didn't 25% or something ridiculous like that on the 7th month. As long as you pay it off before 6 months is over, no need to worry.

And iirc, the minumum purchase is $99 for 6 months, anything lower is 30 days.

Oh i thought you used Bill Me Later and they took the full amount from your bank account, which would defeat the purpose of the feature if you actually have the money to pay for the things you're buying hahahaha
