My system i5 4460,gtx 970 msi gaming,650w xfx bronze plus, gigabyte h97 ,win 10.I know what vsync does but I just want ur your help.Maybe its hardware or software problem?I heard about tearing wihout vsync but not that microstutter. With vsync games are smooth but I want to capitalize on my gpu for better fps.

Sorry from my english!I will appreciate any help.

Even if you are getting 80 fps, your monitor is only showing you 60fps because it runs at 60hz.

Unless you dont like the input lag of vsync, you should just leave it on.

Also about the micro stutter, im not really sure what you could do, other than doing a clean install of the newest nvidia driver.

I have done this but didnt help.Maybe its a problem with my gpu?

No it is likely a problem with the new driver, assuming your gpu started doing it after the release of the 358.91 driver (fallout game ready), as I had some stutter as well

Try 353.62 if you want to rule out drivers, or 355.98

uninstall drivers with DDU then reinstall

if this does not fix it, try use the card in a different PCIe SLOT

if this does not fix it, RMA the card ask for money in return and buy an R9 390

Wow that's horrendous. At first I thought it was your cpu, as you're getting pretty low gpu usage in the 70s and 80s when driving. My 3.6 GHz Xeon E3-1231v3 gets mostly 95% gpu usage when driving with rare dips to as low as 88%, so your 3.2 GHz i5-4460 looks like it may be limiting due to clockspeed. GTA V has never shown to have any improvement with hyperthreading on a quadcore in any benchmark I have seen so I figure my better results are due to the extra 400 MHz on full quadcore load. Still, the stutter seems to be there even when you're at 99% gpu usage on foot. Maybe a Windows 10 bug? Are you on the Fallout 4 driver? I have heard bad things about it but can't really offer an opinion since I was playing New Vegas when I had that driver installed and integrated graphics can run FONV. I'm getting great performance right now (playing Fallout 4) using the AC Syndicate driver released a few days ago, though I'm on Windows 7.

I dont think its cpu,I  have the same stutter with Farcry 4 also.I used DDU and installed 353.62 drivers same microstuter.I will try with windows 7 tomorrow.I have this gpu for around a month and I cant solve this issue.I only play games with v sync on.For example I can play League of Legends without vsync at 200 fps without stutter. If I limit my fps to 80 I have also microstutter compared to 200 fps.
