My PC keeps making this static type of thing everytime it turns on after about 2 min

It sometimes goes away only when it's on its side

Oh that's not good, are you overclocking your GPU at all, if you are try running it at stock, if not your GPU might be dying due to the artifacting on the screen.

That's either, a dead gpu, or a dead cable that you're using.

Try swapping our your display cable for a different one and see if the problem goes away.

If it doesn't, then its likely a dead gpu on your hands.

I can't cable manage since it's an Antec 900 which offers pretty much NO cable management

First things first, his comment is funny cuz there isn't any cable management. They way you cable manage a case that doesn't have anywhere to hide the cables (like behind the mobo) is by using zip ties to group cables together and putting them in a spot in the case that won't affect the air flow inside the case.

Second thing, there is either something wrong with your cable, graphics card, or mother board most likely. Either cable is bad or not plugged in all the way, graphics card is bad or not plugged in right or something, or the pci-e slot is bad or the pins aren't touching it good enough.

Now, we need to know some information about your machine to figure out what could be wrong.

1. What are your specs?

2. Is your graphics card over clocked? If so, put the card back to stock clocks.

3. Have you check the cable plugged into your pc?

4. What kind of cable is it?

5. Try a different cable in a different slot so we can rule out cable issues.

Just got the GPU today but might be old since it was from a Craigslist offer

Unfortunately it looks like it might be a dud, as others have said to rule out any other problem change display cables to ensure it's not a connection problem and that power and PCI-E are properly seated. There isn't much that can be done if it's artifacting without overclocks or anything other than RMAing it if they let you.

As a last resort it is possible to bake the card in the oven to reflow/melt the solder but it's never a guarentee and quite risky.

OHHHHHH now that says a lot about things.

Ok, we need to rule out if the problem is the cable or the motherboard. You may have been sold a faulty graphics card.

It is actually a really good idea to meet someone where you can actually check to see if the card works properly before buying.

Use a different cable in a different port. Use a different port on the graphics card, if it still happens try a different port on your monitor.

If you don't have another cable go to a computer store and buy one. Try it out, if it still happens then return the cable back to the store.

If you have another graphics card laying around you can try that one out to.

What are the specs of your system???????????

believe it or not antek 900's suck for cable management. i have one right here. you can't hide anything unless you cram it into empty drive bays or under full drive bays but nothing you do looks good. and there's absolutely no room behind the motherboard tray........... it's a pile of crap. it really is.

There is nothing to believe or not believe. I know. I just posted a picture of one. Like I said...just because the case doesn't offer it, doesn't mean it has to be a nest of cables.

The antec 900 doesn't offer any cable management...I'm not arguing that. I'm just saying that doesn't justify not trying to clean it up at all.
