4k 60hz vs 1440p 144hz?

I'm in the same situation but I'm leaning more towards 1440p 1440Hz IPS over 4K 60Hz (for a new i7-6700K / 980 Ti build). My question is whether or not G-SYNC makes enough of a difference to justify the extra money over a 1440p 144Hz IPS that doesn't have it. Hmm.

Which 1440p 144hz ips doesn't have gsync? I'm curious cause if there is one then it might be a good option as a 2nd monitor.

I think the gsync is very cool cause you'll never worry about vsync settings again when playing old games and getting 300fps type rates but at 144hz it's generally not too bad to not have it cause any screen tearing moves too quick to really notice.
