Competition for the STRAFE RGB (Cherry MX Silent)?

Go to solution Solved by Nexxus,

I think the strafe might be your only option they are the only one with mx silents

that being said apparently they feel like reds I could touch em

So I'm finally upgrading to a mechanical keyboard. I plan on buying one tomorrow.

But what to buy? I haven't been following keyboards as closely as I should have to make the best call.

The keyboard that currently has my attention is the Corsair STRAFE RGB with Cherry MX Silent switches.

I'm looking for the quality of a mechanical keyboard while hopefully keeping the clicks and clacks to a minimum, especially next to my currently very quiet build.

What other mechanical keyboards should I be looking at?

Customizable RGB light is almost a must now for me.

Macro keys are nice to have but I can live without them.

I'd prefer to keep this under $200 USD.

The Strafe is good but you could also go for the Corsair K65/70 RGB with MX Brown switches.

I ended up getting the STRAFE RGB. And quite frankly, I think it was the best choice for me.

The software, while intimidating at first, wasn't that difficult to use for the basic level of lighting configuration I wanted to do.

In a few minutes I had my keyboard colors configured just the way I wanted and set my mouse's RGB colors to match.

The switches themselves are really quiet. I'm still thinking of getting sound dampening O-rings to make it even quieter while typing.

But for now, it's a beautiful keyboard, even if I'm not using all it's custom lighting potential.
