WHY?

Go to solution Solved by Atmos,

skids are hackers. Just the most moronic, least knowledgeable, and most toxic kind of hacker.

Why do all of the people who call themselves "hackers" and steal money electronically from banks (or whatever they do that is illegial) think they are "hackers"? In all honesty all of them are just script kiddies who know how to use some basic hacks that anybody on google could find by just looking around. It just really confuses me that they also think that they are untraceable when clearly being untraceable is impossible...

They need to take a good look at reality and get their head out of the dirt

tl;dr do you know a way to become untraceable to anyone on the internet?

People can trace others back through tor, dont even go there'

tl;dr this is a rant

Even if they are just script kiddies who used some basic hacks, they're still hacks. Therefore, they are hackers.

If they are using hacks, even basic script hacks, then they are by definition "hackers".

so

someone who knows how to use kali is a hacker?

please...

the term bothers me

If they are using hacks, even basic script hacks, then they are by definition "hackers".

It just bothers me that somebody who is wanted by the police for actually hacking into banks is the same term as some idiot who knows how to download *hacks*

Whoa, wait a sec here. There are hacks available via Google that can penetrate bank security? Currently? You sure?

If you look endlessly you will find something

im 100% sure of it

even on the deep web if you look close enough

I agree, but he's right. Even the simplest program, if being used illicitly to perform illegal actions or gain access to other people's devices, they are hacks.

By extension, the people who use the hacks are hackers.

Ok, yeah.

Just so you know, "deep web" is what the portion of the public WWW that is (still) uncached by search engines is called.

You're probably thinking of the "dark web". That's stuff like TOR. On the Internet but takes special measures like a specific browser to access.

It doesn't just apply to people who are wanted by the police. There are blackhat and whitehat hackers. A "hacker" is anyone that uses programming to circumvent a software's intended operations - basically anyone that is able to make a piece of software do something that it wasn't originally intended to do is a hacker.
