1Ghz on AMD 240x

Hi Guys,

Having a 240 laying around I tried to blow it up :)

Try as I might it would not become unstable even at 1ghz on both memory and core clock

memory clock and core speed wont kill a card, you need volts.

just send it to me doge

Or me.

Hell, I got a 3450 to max the RAM slider in Afterburner (which took effort), and I got the core to 810MHz on stock volts. Doesn't take much to OC low-end cards, apparently.

1ghz is the stock frequency of my r9 290 which runs way, way, WAY hotter ^^ you can probably do better than that on such a low heat card.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Run Furmark & stop the fan on the graphics card from spinning... There you go [emoji1]

I would use it for a video card and not a kill toy.

I did not mean literally "Destroy" the card, what I meant was run it to the point where it would become unstable. Anyway I did not think I would get that clock rate out of that card, it's not exactly CHART TOPPING 568GHZ OVERCLOCK but never the less I did not expect it.
