i'm planning to get windows 8

but a lot of people recommend me windows 7 :0

get windows 10 if you want to take advantage of directx 12 features. and get a 390 over the 970, because of 8gb vram. and you dont need 3000mhz ram, 2133 or 2400 are cheaper and fine.

Looks solid

>Add an SSD (MX100, MX200, BX100, 530 Series, 850 EVO, HyperX are all great choices)

>Lower the PSU down to something more reasonable, would cut costs

>Get a 390

>Get Windows for a lot less on Reddit

Or buy a cheap Windows 7 key then upgrade to 10.

That will leave you with extra cash.

Yeah, but you could probably get a Windows 7 key cheaper than an 8.

Usually, you can. But sometimes you will be able to find a copy of 8 for cheaper instead.

True, I guess it depends on where and when.

All is great but the 970. Unless you need specific nvidia features, the 390 offers better price to performance as most of the time it's cheaper and has the same performance.

what should i get?

STRIX-R9390-DC3OC-8GD5

R9 390X Tri-X OC

R9 390 NITRO Tri-X

??

The 390X is a completely different card. Any manufacturer except for Asus and Gigabyte are good for R9 390.

is everyone gonna comment on this? Cant we just agree that the UI was disgusting and the win8.1 fix, well fixed the issues but the UI was still pretty bad

windows 7 is a well known UI but its a little outdated and windows 10 is what we wanted windows 8 to be.

but sure i was over reacting but i dont want people to go through the windows 8 pain that many of us did including me
