Hy guys !

I want to build a tower just like Linus did here :

The thing is, I want to use some others components I want to use an : i7-6700k and with two Gtx 970, the rest is the same: 2 ssd 2 Hdd and etc.

I just need an opinion about the CPU and the Gpu .

Thanks !!

This should be no problem. The only critical thing could be, that you can't use both GPUs in SLI and that both GPUs are the same.

If you find out how to differentiate both GPUs you should have 2 quite powerful gaming rigs in 1 case.

You will have "2" CPUs with each one having 4 logical cores (Hyperthreading).

I'd suggest maybe using a 6-core instead of a quad core CPU. GPU wise, two 970s should be fine

hmm, that would make it a dual core CPU for both rigs

actually, with hyperthreading, that makes 2 real and 2 virtual core on each side. quad core gaming is fine enough i think!

Not as good as real quad cores - you'd be effectively running a CPU similar to the i3 4160 I used to have. It bottlenecked my 780Ti, noticably, in GTA V.

Go for a CPU with more cores.

Real cores > virtual cores. Quad core is fine for gaming, but not ideal when it's being limited to 2 cores w/ 2 threads.

Quote me in replies so I see them.

It would actually be 2 cores with 4 threads basically an i3. IF you're not planning to do CPU intense games then it would be a viable option however you're better off building two separate gaming PC's.

Agreed. Also the 5820K was on sale at microcenter yesterday for $320. Might still be able to get it if you run. Hopefully it wasn't just my city :P I couldn't pass it up...
