Logitech G910 vs. Razer Blackwidow

Bourne_Endeavour

Debating between these two keyboards at the moment and would appreciate any feedback. I'm also open to other options if there's something better out there. If it makes a difference, I prominently play FFXIV, Mass Effect, Skyrim, and will probably grab Fallout 4.

Hmm, the don't get the black widow that's for sure, I have the chroma version and I regret it, it's as plastic as it gets

Take a look the K70 RGb or the regular one, if you need a lot of macros the K95 is a good one too, but a bit expensive.

Of those two I'd go with the G910, it looks pretty gaudy but is mechanically sound... kinda the polar opposite of Razer products ;)

The K70s supposedly a pretty solid choice but I've got to admit I'm not a fan of the open switch design personally, the G710+ is a oldy but a goody too.

Since they got different switches the optimal solution would be to test them out and buying the keyboard after switch preference.

Otherwise I would buy the logitech one unless its 25$+ more expensive.

Well I've always been a sucker for metal keyboards and the k70 is no exception with its floating keycaps its a work of art imo (trust me corsair didn't pay me to say that in all seriousness tho I'd buy a k70 if I was you but I'm sure anything is good compared to my £10 "gaming keyboard"

Probably comes down to which switch type you prefer. Do you like the feel of Cherry MX Reds or Browns? Go for the K70/K95. Do you like the clicky-ness and tactile feel? Go for the Razer BlackWidow. Do you like the... membrane-ish feeel of the Romer-G switches? Go for the G910 (but be aware that the keycaps are a bit unusual, and you won't have an easy time replacing them)

I own a Razer BlackWidow Chroma, and it's pretty decent. The matte finish is a bit of a fingerprint magnet unfortunately, but other than that, no real complaints.
