So luke said that the fiberline was cut to the host data center of the server.... the forum actually came back up faster than I expected

Fibre cuts take a few hours at most to fix depending on severity.

It's funny I couldn't see your thread until I already posted mine, do we know how the line was cut, aka accident or malcious, I'm aware it's most likely the former but just wondering

So someone cut the wire on purpose??

It's just how it's described.  A fibre cut can and frequently does happen when construction sites or road works accidentally damage fibre cables.
