Test-bench recommendations?

Lays

I was looking at replacing my Air 540 with a proper test bench since I have been doing sub-zero overclocking recently.

Prepping for sub-zero takes a bit of time, because I have to rip apart my whole PC, insulate stuff then get it all ready etc.

If I had a test bench it'd be a lot easier to tear everything down, because I could leave the insulation under the board 24/7 and then only worry about the front of the board.

I was looking into "Dimastech" benches, they seem pretty affordable and about what I need, I was wondering if anyone else had any recommendations?

It needs to be less than $200 for sure, and it needs to have a full motherboard tray so I can lay the insulation on top of it and not have water leak through to the other side of the test-bench whilst benching.

Here is a link at the one I was looking at:

Here is what my setup looks like when I do DICE, it's super messy, having a proper test bench with 2 SSD mounts, a PSU mount, and everything else would be really nice and make my life a lot easier when I decide to bench with DICE/LN2.

Take a regular PC case and remove the shell?

Then it won't have proper SSD and PSU mounts etc, since a majority of the time those things are on the "shell"

Darn. I remember @Iamdarkbowser was going to do an open test bench case, until we figured out that the one he wanted would cost MORE to ship than the actual case was worth. I do not remember the brand though. It was one of lini's test benches.

the air 540 may actually work, just put it on it's side, remove all panels but the IO panel and the one on the PSU side (the one on the bottom when you turn it over) add some feet, cut the frame up a bit if needed, and you'd basically have a test bench

I don't really want to chop up my air 540 though, if I can just buy something to replace it.

@Lays If you can stretch your budget the Caselabs S8 is the best on the market, but the Spotswood is a close second.

The alluminum one wouldn't work for me, since it doesn't have a mobo tray.  I need a mobo tray so I can put the foam down and set the board on top of it.

The one in the first link is the one I was looking at that I linked in the thread, it looks like its the best for price / performance.

Ya no..  $250 for that caselabs case is a no go

I used to build our tech stations with aluminum sheeting, and could do so again, no problem.   :)   I need to dig up an old pic...

I just want something with a mobo tray, not just aluminum rails.  I think it'd be hard to prop up a 10x10x0.5"  sheet of arma flex on rails vs an actual tray.

Yeah something like that would be nice, so I can put this on the tray, then my board on top of it:
