-1, 1, 3, 5?

The numbers come one after another, and they all add up to 8.

8=(x)+(x+2)+(x+4)+(x+6)

Just solve for x.

x will be -1 and then the x+2 will give you the 1, the x+4 will give you the 3 and the x+6 will give you the 5.

I edited my post, "The numbers come one after another, and they all add up to 8."

The integer 5 comes after the integer 3, 3 comes after 1, 1 comes after -1, assuming you can only have odd numbers. It wants four consecutive integers that add up to 8, and -1, 1, 3, 5 add up to 8.

Break down the question.

"Od intengers". Okay, so all 4 numbers must be odd numbers (Like 1, 3, 5 and not 2, 4, 6.)

"whos sum is 8" they all have to count up to 8.

With this in mind you may understand why the answer is:

-1, 1, 3, 5

If you count that all up, you will see it equals 8. (-1+1 = 0. 3+5 = 8)
