Where does my Win7 Key Go too when Going to Win 10

So questions, If I update to windows 10 from 7 does my key become a win10 key or is it a Win 7 key that can just reinstall to win10 because it is now bound to it?

Yes, also windows 10 will autoativate

and Starting TH2 update you can use windows 7 and 8 keys to activate windows 10 directly.
