You could get a cheaper board as Z97 boards are usually meant for overclocking and your CPU does not support that feature

A SSD for a boot drive might also be a good option ( at least 120 GB recommended)

The PC is fine. Switch to a H97 chipset board, since you have a locked CPU.

What's your budget?

You might want some more storage and / or an SSD.

Do you need Windows?

Monitor(s) and / or peripherals?

ATX cases fit ATX or smaller boards natively. They have the standoffs for each.
