An ideal monitor

SKill

If I have money I would definitely create the gaming monitor of my dream:

Viewable Image Area: 37.7"

Panel type: some IPS variation

Aspect ratio: 21:10

Native resolution:   3440x1600 @ 100Hz - more vertical pixels for productivity + gaming.

  Sub resolutions:   3440x1440 @ 120Hz - advanced gaming mode.

                               2560x1600 @ 144Hz - another gaming option.

2560x1440 @ 165Hz - for games like StarCarft, CS:GO. Because any other aspect ratio reduces overall visibility.

Features: GSync support for all resolutions

120+Hz ULMB for at least 2560x1440.

P.S. I hate all X:9 (except one where X = 12) aspect ratios when I'm not gaming.

Being realistic that 4K gaming monitors would require very very strong hardware so I don't think it would bring any benefit today.

What features you are missing from nowaday monitors?

Location: Kaunas, Lithuania, Europe, Earth, Solar System, Local Interstellar Cloud, Local Bubble, Gould Belt, Orion Arm, Milky Way, Milky Way subgroup, Local Group, Virgo Supercluster, Laniakea, Pisces–Cetus Supercluster Complex, Observable universe, Universe.

Not sure exactly what you want as an answer, you mean "What features would you like on a monitor" if so, this question has been asked so many times

I'm happy with my monitors - what I'm excited for is high refresh rate and low latency VR

The best for gaming IMO would be 32" 8k 165Hz IPS Freesync, assuming you can power it.

Realistically though within the next few years, 28" 4k 144Hz IPS Freesync.

RIP in pepperonis m8s

Waiting for my X-star. First time using a 27" 1440p monitor that wasn't duct-taped to an iMac.

First time using a 27" 1440p monitor that's hooked up to a GPU that can drive it.
