Either way, it doesn't matter. The metal io bit does not add length to the card when installed in a system.

But wouldn't matter otherwise, as the metal part on the left actually doesn't add any length, as they go together with the metal part of the case. if that makes any sense

the problem is my s340 only takes gpu's to just under 27cm so im going to need to find either a gtx970 or r9 390 shorter than that, because i dont want to take out that black beautyful cover :/
