Addicted to a terrible game.

MrKappa

Just before I start this off i'd like to say wow, thanks for the support on my last topic. I just wanted to say that this is a serious topic :).

On my b-day in 2014 I saved up and got a Xbox One. My friends at the time were telling me to get one so we all did. The game I got with it was Destiny, as a fan of Halo 2 and 3 I was well in the hype train.

I slowly noticed myself playing it more and more and more each day, not getting enough time to talk to family. Actually every Tuesday when I came home from school I wouldn't care about homework. Instead I would get it done in class. I spent about 2hrs doing the raid with my friends along with other activities.

Well that's when all hell broke loose.

The first expansion came out and the very first thing we did was the raid and in about well 3 hours I had completely lost my old friends. They did not want to do anything with me due to I had not done something else before.

I started going through LFG websites desperate for someone to help me with the hard raid for the previous raid.

I started playing even more and more and more and more. One day when I came back from holidays I went on the game for 10hrs.

I realised I had a problem a few months ago. I don't want people complaining that it's not a terrible game to me. It is a terrible game in my eyes.

With new friends I quickly discovered what I had lost out on while I was in a coma of Destiny. I got to play the greats like witcher 3, GTA V, BioShock!

I'm soo glad I discovered PC and stopped playing a grind of a game..

If you are considering buying Destiny. Don't. It tears friendships and is well just boring. Thanks and have a good day :)

My brother loves Destiny.

He can't admit that it's a mediocre ripoff of so many games.

That's like saying don't play 'X' multilayer online game it will ruin you.

It's not the game, it's the matter of self control and discipline.  Do what's more important and really assess if it's worth whatever the sacrifice.

but yeah, never played destiny, looks good but too much commitment. :)

Yes I completely agree with that but it was very hard to get out of once you had got into it.

lol. 10 hours is nothing. On a weekend me and my friend went on task manager and looked at PC up time. It was 16hrs. For 1 day. And the same for the next. The only time we stopped was for sleep on the Saturday night and eating, drinking and other necessities. This was just on Rust...

Sorry, I believe in taking responsibility for your actions rather then placing blame on an inanimate object.

If that makes me negative so be it.
