Seems low, been folding for 2 days and I already have 700k points, then again i7 4790k and SLI 970.

Makes sense for your rig. That I7 blows my I3 away in computational power and you should be hitting more with those two 970's than my one 960.  :P

*shugs*

Ya know, I have not even thought of that before.  Hmm I don't know for sure. I'll have think about that.

*thinking*

Not sure about how Canadian taxation works but the US is a bit weird in the area cuz I would have to be able to show usage/ wear and tear and contribution amount for the parts and electricity used. I am sure there is a way but it would all have to be documented in some way. My dad used to work for the IRS about 20 years ago I can ask him.

Example: to show electrical used I would have to go back get an average electrical usage before folding and then compare it to after.

Honestly it would be a lot of work initially and then upkeep afterwards.

Well, you could get a gauge that sits between the power plug on the wall and the computer that measures the amount of power consumed, so I assume there are versions that will record this over time to create a record.  That would take care of the power.  Then, you would just have to keep receipts for the machine.  The only things I think might be a problem would be A ) proving it was entirely used for charity (folding) and B ) if the government would actually count that as a charity (which it should - you are donating processing power; no different than time or money, since it is in fact both in a way :))

To be honest, I have no idea. I don't know how many ppd a 980ti gets but if I had to guess based off my 960 I would say;

200-250 per gpu? times 6 = 1.2-1.5mil

16cpu cores minus the gpu usage leaves 10 cores and at 25-50k each = 250-500k.

So 2 million ppd a day? best guess.

If I recall correctly, 980ti reports suggest 600~700k per GPU. So x6...... Yea, that machine should get around 4kk PPD.

Doesn't work for me as I have checked this site many times and my points are not showing so I did the math myself.

But thanks for the pointer.

Works for me, however I do notice it shows that you've returned 0 WU's for something like 60% of the days each week.

This is probably a better question for @Whaler_99 or @Imakuni to answer

But as far as I can tell from using both I found that the google client accepts smaller jobs or "packets"  vs the desktop version which allows larger jobs to be assigned.

Hope that helps.

For laptops, where cooling is a problem, the chrome option is better. But for desktops, the installed version is superior (as one would expect).
