GPU only runs at 50-75% load

Zvesda

I play MWO a lot( mwomercs.com ) and in game sometimes my GPU will only run at 50% load resulting in 40 FPS and drops, other times it runs at 98% and i get a nice 70-100 FPS, V-SYNC is OFF, turning on changes nothing and in fact makes it worse

When at 50% load my memory is running at max, and my core is at 1,150mhz(Overclocked). When in the menus and game is loading my usage always goes to 100%

Not sure what this is about, my settings are at prefer maximum performance in control panel

During game: FPS is starting to go on its downward slide http://prntscr.com/8uugul

I have a i5-3570k at 4.5ghz with water cooling, only gets around 50c

CPU bottleneck. It's not necessarily your CPU's fault, afaik MMOs usually use 1-2 cores and rely on single-core performance.

How could that be a bottleneck? it has 4 cores and is at 4.5ghz, and it does not always bottleneck it....is there anything else i can do?

Even at 4.5 GHz, 1-2 cores is obviously not enough to process so much stuff fast enough. Your only option is to go for a Skylake i5/i7 CPU, as they have the best single-core performance right now, and OC to ~4.5. Even then you might not get stable 60+ fps, but they should perform better, as to how much, I can't tell you. I don't think there are any benchmarks for this game.

Fixed it, i run the game at ultra high so i dropped the shaders and shadows to just High and now its fixed
