looking for a new graphics card

Go to solution Solved by Kobathor,

Is it possible to put a gtx 970 in this? If so is it worth it? I know the PSU is too weak but is it possible to run it in this configuration? http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=c03063456

thanks.

Page won't load for me, but since it's from HP you'd have to upgrade the PSU first, like you said in your post.

It would be worth it, yes, but I'd get a R9 390. That case looks like it should get enough airflow if all the fan ports are occupied.

EDIT -Page loaded. Definitely buy a new PSU, 550w should be fine. An EVGA 550w G2/GS should work wonderfully.

Look at the product page. Only CPU config is the i5 2400 Sandy-Bridge.

Yeah. Technically he can upgrade, but it's 1155 socket, he might as well get a whole new computer if he would do that. Ya know? :P
