390 vs 380 with a8 6600k

GamallKall

I can get a pretty great deal on a 390 for 300 USD but I only have a a8 6600k CPU so I was wondering if it would do any better than the r9 380 with the huge bottleneck, I can get the 380 for around 200 USD so maybe it's the better option because it bottlenecks less, I would really love some help,

Thanks !

Get an R9 390 and upgrade the CPU when possible if you ask me.

A bottleneck will not make performance worse, you just wont get full use of the 390 when there is a bottleneck

If you can get a good deal on the 390 get it, you can always upgrade your CPU later too

It will bottleneck a bit, but you can upgrade the CPU in the future :)

It's decent for now. You're going to be fine in GPU-bound games.

It makes proper use of all the cores :P

Admittedly, games aren't the same way.
