Actually, best value lies at the 4440/4460 with a H97/H81/B85 mobo, stock cooling.  4690K, Z97, and decent cooler are for those with that extra $100-$150 to splurge on.

I'd rather have an unlocked i5 and z97 board so I can overclock but that's just my preference.

An SSD and an i5 if you can would make your system snappier tbh. Christmas is round the corner.

Sure it includes an i5 but a H100i... hell naww.

Literally every time someone asks about a cooler the H100i is mentioned or the GTX.

You only mentioned one game BF4.

After all the responses to your question, how can you even ask?  A fast quad core will give you access to every game on the market, yes.

Yes I understand this, but I was asking if my 270x would be enough for games that use more than two cores.

You know what I mean when I say "run" I mean at good frame rate but okay thanks anyway

You have have to turn down shadow resolution/quality, and anti-aliasing in every demanding title for better FPS... probably certain lighting effects as well.  I am betting textures can stay at high/ultra in most cases.
