Hello my fellow nerds, I just need to talk right now.

 

Tonight was a great night, yet insanely shitty..

 

Most of you probably don't know this, but I have OCD (Actually diagnosed, I've had it since I was 5, it's not any of that self-diagnosed "It's my OCD shit") and I also have anxiety issues.

I get worked up over things that just might cause a person to be stressed out.

 

And tonight, was a bat mitzvah, of my best friend ever. I'll call her Claire (I'm using fake names because I don't want to use real names)

And at that party, was a girl I really, really like, and I have liked her for 3 years. This girl, who I will call Anna for this post, I get very nervous around.

 

So at the party after the ceremony, she was there. And the DJ announces something about dancing with somebody. So naturally I think about her.

And me being me with my anxiety, I stress out about asking her to dance with me. I mean, everybody would stress about that, but for me, my stress goes in stages. 

 

Stage 1: Not hungry, constantly spacing out and the only way to get my attention is to hit me. So I'm sitting there at dinner literally staring into blankness while everybody eats dinner.

 

Stage 2: I go into my own world. I sat outside while everybody was dancing and partying inside. 

 

Stage 3: I cry. I cried for about an hour. Over working myself up about asking this girl to dance with me. 

 

And stage 3 continued until I had to leave.

 

But this is the interesting part, this girl that I liked, she came to talk to me. And I let it all out. The whole story of all of the years, and I cried in front of her, cried about all of it. And she was there for me.

But I still had screwed up the night, and I can't get over it.

 

I just wanted to talk about that, and I want to hear you're guy's experience with things like this. No, I'm not looking for remorse, I just want to talk and hear experiences so I can feel less alone.

I had a girl use me for a kid..... i wish i only had to deal with ocd. But if she knows your story now, maybe over time she will understand and it will work out. Idk what type of girl "anna" is but if shes good at heart then she will see that you mean well and sorry but crying isnt a bad thing, people get so worked about about men crying. Its an emotion, when your passionate about something, you will cry. I cried for 3 hours straight when my son was born. I was even to scared to hold him as first. Bad nights happen but for all you know this is a night that is a gateway to something better.

Let me share a story, another one, which is an INSANE story.

 

 

When I was in 2nd grade, I specifically remember being outside, sitting on a rock, thinking about me when I want to grow up.

These were my thoughts:

 

I wanted to be married to a girl named Anna with beautiful dirty blonde hair, blue eyes, freckles, and was just gorgeous and so caring. I also wanted to be an architect.

 

Now I no longer want to be an architect, but the weirdest part, my description at the time MATCHES HER PERFECTLY. HER NAME AND HOW SHE IS. It is amazing, and scary at the same time. I specifically remember this moment to this day, I could describe everything, but it would be boring.

That's why I said the start...(and then I started singing High School Musical)... I don't care who says otherwise, I think establishing a base built on friendship, trust, and understanding is key in having a long-lasting relationship.

 

Also, it's only boring if you make it boring. Trust me, I used to write short stories.

People are so complicated sometimes it's hard to tell. But since she was willing to hear you out, I'll go ahead and make another assumption and assume you're doing well. Also if I were you I would be looking for comfortableness and openness. I feel like those are by and far the most important things that show someone is interested in you because it shows trust.
