Hi guys,

 

I'm starting a cartoon series with my favorite Tech Youtubers, and of course Linus and Luke are two of the main characters.

 

I hope you have fun with this.

 

This first video is just the teaser/theme for what's to come.

As long as you keep making videos and work a lot, this sounds awesome ! and will hopefully work out. Keep it up and try your best, and don't give up too easily. Youtube is hard to start but when you're established, it's a big $$$ maker

There are lots of people who take the audio from some youtuber's video and animate a new visual for it

I'd keep my expectations low 

 

I can't replicate any of the voices, so I'll just try to make something similar and hopefully recognizable. Except for Pistol, hers will something... different.

In Ep.3 I got Qain from Tek Syndicate to do his own voice. It'd be great to have them all.

 

Never heard of Cox and Crendor until you mentioned it, seems cool. 

 

I'm learning to do this as I do it, so expect it to be better in the future (not the voice).

Alright, saw the videos, i do like your style, but i have to say the VA is slightly killing it, for me at lest, But damn your characters are so accurate in its own way i love how Linus look like Linus!

some things worth taking notes on (IMO).
Logan´s beard: the beard part near the lips is a tad to short imo.
Luke´s Beard: blond !? id say its actually slightly darker than his hair
Wendell: hmmm i guess its ok, he is growing it out though, and and there are some light gray highlights on the cheek sides and chin.

Thats all lol.

Now as for Cox and Crendor, or even The co optional Animation. They do this interesting thing where they take sound from a part out of there Podcast or something and then make an animation around it, might be worth giving it a try? experiment maybe? not saying you should do the EXACT same thing but...i dunno, could be cool and fun as well? Inspiration ?

Have you spoken to the Tech guys for voices btw? you did get Qain, but what about the others?

First of all, thank you for the feedback, you really took the time.

 

I drew the characters on paper a long time ago. Before I learned how to edit anything. Then I learned Illustrator and made them "digital", then I learned After Effects and made them move. In this learning process I tried to do them as simple as possible, maintaining my style.

 

Beards and hairs grow and get cut (trimmed) all the time. So unless they change drastically, I won't change them. As for Luke's beard specifically, going for a darker tone would give the idea of a thick manly beard, so I opted for a lighter tone.

 

Since this is supposed to be a parody, not many people are willing to make fun of them selves, or even waste time that could be used making their own videos. Qain offered to do it and I gladly and honorably accepted. If anyone else wants to do it, even just once, I'll welcome it, but I won't ask. Also, I want to have my creative liberty (love to write). And use audio from their videos, wouldn't allow me to make the characters say whatever I want next, because the voices would be too different. But I use all their videos as inspiration. I can´t do anything about my voice, but maybe it gives the cartoons some king of quirky vibe, with the accent and all. 

 

I know it seems that I went against all that you said, but I welcome it and please keep sharing your opinion. This political campaign idea originated from a simple comment on my first "Clash of the Techtubers" video. It was supposed to be completely different.

 

Keep it coming. I promise to not justify myself as much next time.
