Just wanna hear ur opinions on buying computer hardware components from newegg, are the items sold reliable or some of them are DOA? As i am living in Singapore, thus it will be very troublesome to ship spoilt products back to newegg store in USA, therefore i would i like to hear ur opinions on buying from newegg? How reliable are majority of the items sold? Thanks

...Most of the stuff on Newegg is manufactured in Asia anyway, wouldn't it be cheaper to ship somewhere more local to you? O.o

I will be using the Vpost which is a local postage service to ship items from USA as it will be cheaper than direct shipment from the store. Most of the products sold on newegg are way cheaper than buying from local stores in singapore, other than tat alot of items cant be bought here as the store doesnt import them sadly.

Any reliable China website that u can recommend to buy from?

Not really Newegg's fault if it is DOA.

newegg is one of the best retailers, and doa is not really newegg's fault, newegg didnt make the crappy packaging of the raijintek triton for example

Hahaha true true, just want to get the overall sense of how many percent of the products sold are DOA

Most of what happens with Newegg products is either a factory defect or damaged in shipping.  That happens with every retailer.  I know from experience since I got a damaged MSI board from them, and it wasn't their fault.

Oh okay, glad to know that. I was afraid that they might sell damaged product instead of product being damaged along the way during shipment

Ya, if you get a damaged part 99.9 percent of the time it isn't the fault of the retailer.  It's almost always a factory defect or shipping.  This lady who used to deliver our packages would slam my game packages down onto our paved driveway.  She damaged one so bad the original case I ordered for Vash 1.0 had to go back to Amazon due to her crap job of handling packages.  I know somebody is going to insert Lenny soon.

Yea, sometimes they can be pretty lousy in handling fragile goods lol

Newegg is nice and all. However, their return policy and support is shit. The only thing that makes Newegg good is the prices generally. Although lately I've been shopping off of Amazon mostly because I get two free day shipping and other nice little discounts.

Been reading alot of bad return policy and slow in support services, yea items on Newegg are cheaper by about 150dollars sold here. Havent tried out Amazon yet, are they reliable too? How about NCIX?

Amazon is awesome with returns.  They will get your money back, and fight the seller with you.

How are their return policy and warranty? They will take back the items and replaced it with a new one? Any issuse with products tat are sold being opened or used rather than brand new?

idk, i dont live there :P

Hahaha okay, will do a search later on, thanks though :)

30 days for most things, unless you find like a defect that you can prove, sometimes restocking fees though not usually, and you will get your money back or a new one.

Awesome, i guess the 30 days return policy wont apply to me as it will take tat long to get the items ship here lol.
