oh yeah... I would be willing to do a custom loop for the soul purpose of being able to keep that 4770k chilly, but I don't know yet...  If there are any 140mm AIO, that'd be nice.

EDIT: NZXT makes one, bingo.

The kraken X40 and corsair h90. Also where are you going to put the ssd as with an aio you would have to remove the hard drive cage?

Ghetto mount or get a 5.25 adapter, since I'll be taking the optical drive out once I install the OS and lan driver.

sounds good, but after looking between the dimensions push pull setup on the rad may not work since the gpu would use up 267mm out of 300mm. between the 2nd fan and the rad you would have an extra 52mm and the intake is low enough so it would be 19mm too short and the pull fan would be interfering with the gpu.

How about just a pull fan?

It would be fine with one fan a thin rad doesn't benefit a large amount from a 2nd fan.

It's all said and done then, time to start saving up and keep the build updated with new parts as they come along.  Will make a thread in the build logs section when I actually do get all the money and have the parts.

The 780 will be pretty much the same since the 384 bit memory bus is not able to fully use 6gb of the Vram @Kuzma did a write up about it.

:D thanks for mentioning me but if you read my p.s. by my calculations since the titan has exactly half the memory clock it needs to access 6GB of VRAM (so it should only be able to access 3GB) but it's already been seen to go over 6GB of VRAM it seems that GK110 is an exception to the rule o.o and seems to have some way to have half the memory clock but access the same amount of VRAM o.o this could result in very cold running, powerful cards if they made an entire series from it but the yield is too low for it to be practical.

If it's within your budget I say why not get the Titan? It has amazing compute power for when applications and games start using that a lot more (OpenCL wise, it actually competes with the 7870 compared to the 680 SLI being < 7790 single) and the VRAM will future proof you for a while ^_^ .

Why are you advocating that case when theres smaller options? Ncase m1 ftw.

That case is pretty awesome.

1. that isn't smaller

2. it isn't aluminum

3. it's not a guaranteed physical item yet

4. The Lian-Li fits everything I have picked out for it, so I'm going to stick with it.

Case wont be able to fit a 3.5" drive

The 840 EVO 1TB is one of the cheapest per gb SSD's

I need the space.

1. Its  240mm x 160mm x 328mm vs 360mm x 210mm x 320mm

2. It's aluminium

3. It's been funded and will be available for pre-order in April.

4. Case fits everything and is smaller.

I'm not waiting until next summer before I actually get a case.

I meant brushed aluminum, whether black or silver, the ncase might as well be steel since its finish is nothing special.  On top of that it doesn't have a handle and it's nothing special to look at.

Each has their own taste, I personally love the way the m1 looks. But it's your opinion that matters for your case.

I will be switching to the ASUS ROG Mini-ITX board when it finally comes out and since it has an m-sata port, I'll be adding a 256GB m-sata SSD, that will solve my storage problem, and I'll probably get a 2TB external drive to connect via USB 3.0
