Time to start saving up because no expense shall be sparred, I previously wanted a huge ridiculous system, but now I want the smallest I can possibly get.

EDIT: Removed all of the dumb stuff http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1taW5

I AM VERY DRIVEN TO GET THIS SMALL CASE, STOP TRYING TO GET ME TO GET SOMETHING ELSE.

I'm hoping the cooler will fit with two fans on it, if not I'll just have an extra Noctua fan, no big deal.

The final price would be about $3000

If you guys can think of anything extra to add, change, any advice, or criticism, it will be appreciated.

I've started a little savings fund, starting out with $36 and will add 60% of whatever money I make and donate the other 40% to a local charity that gives 100% of the donations to local sufferers of cancer that can't afford their bills because of medical expenses, I've also donated over 100 hours of my time helping them out.  http://hugsandkissesinc.org, currently only located in West Palm Beach County, Florida, but they're looking to expand.

Available from 3pm to Midnight Eastern Time (GMT-5). (>'-')> <('-'<) ^(' - ')^ <('-'<) (>'-')> You can't stop the kirby dance.

too expensive for how much it underpreforms, I would change to a 4670K and 1TB of a SSD is a waste atm because of the prices, I would wait a couple years until they drop down to HDD prices or a bit higher like $250 for a terabyte
and get a better graphics card (it would be terrible as the 760 can't properly handle 1440p resolutions)

also, is the blu-ray player necessary? just adds to the ridiculous price

1. Okay, a 4670k is probably a better option

2. I want the 1TB SSD, since there is no space for a 3.5" HDD, and I don't want a crap laptop one.

3. ASUS's 760 is the highest performing card that will fit in the case, every other card is too large.

4. Yes, it is.

I also plan on changing to the new ROG mini-itx board when it comes out, if it has wifi, just incase there isn't a lan hook up at a party I may go to.

then get a tad bit bigger of a case like prodigy, or try to find a small 7970 as the added VRM helps :D

WAIT

WAIT FOR THE 9XXX SERIES

if you can, that would be really great

you could probably get 2 780s into that build for 2.5k, minus the monitor, useless SSD, other useless add ons.

Wow, you can't read at all can you?

You can fit four of these cases into a prodigy.

I will probably be waiting for the 9XXX series for sure, I just put it together and will update it when new things come out, I don't plan on actually buying the whole build until I get the full amount, which will take a while.

nvm, not even worth it. just waste your money.

It's for a specific purpose, to be small, I'm not wasting my money, I'm just spending it in a way that makes no sense to you, but does to me.

wow that's freaking small

but I wouldn't get a 1440p monitor if your graphics card can't handle it :(

But it can... I will think about it though, again I just added the parts together based on the market and what I've heard

The 1TB EVO will be one of the more cheaper per GB SSD's, so if I have the money and want the space, why not?

it's still ridiculously expensive, your defense isn't good, I would just not spend that much money on something as simple as an SSD :/

just get a 512GB

It will probably drop $100 by the time I actually buy it or something better and cheaper will come along, but currently this is the only drive that fulfills my wants.

You can actually put a gtx 670 direct cu mini in the case. I have gtx 670 which is a slight improvement over the 760 and it run 1440p just fine event the witcher 2 at max without ubersampling.

nvm, not even worth it. just waste your money.

His point was simply to show how much you are wasting your money.

And you are. Completely. Even for a small form factor build, this is an absurd amount of money for the power it will provide.

1TB SSD? I assume you are not using this exclusively as your gaming PC. If you are, then I understand, but if you are not, then I suggest keeping all your games on your Desktop and just transfer the ones you want to play at a party onto this machine. Then you can cut back to like 250GB or even 120GB. It is incredibly easy to transfer games between Steam installations, so long as they are both to the same account.

I suggest Windows 8 with "Start is back" or "Classic Shell". More Performance.

Question: If this is supposed to be a small form factor rig, why get such a large monitor? :|

Just saying, it seems like a horrid waste of money. However, I do understand you wanting something like this.

Here is an idea: Mod the case so that it can support a longer, better, GPU. Swap the SSD from 1TB to either 512, 256, or 128 sizes, then use that money for the better GPU.

This.

Edit: I want to point out that I am now interested in doing a build in this case. Lol It will be for a friend.

here are the essential things you MUST do

1. bigger case (just to accommodate longer graphics cards)

2. get a better graphics card ( SERIOUSLY)

3. if you don't do 2, get a 1080p monitor PLEASE

You can actually put a gtx 670 direct cu mini in the case. I have gtx 670 which is a slight improvement over the 760 and it run 1440p just fine event the witcher 2 at max without ubersampling.

but this is for future games also, what if he wants to run Witcher 3 ;)

nice profile pic btw, can tell you love that game

True, but the gtx 670 is still a nice gpu. I love the series I've played 1 twice and 2 four times.  :)

I got witcher 2 from steam summer sale, I hope it's good :D

also, should I use the combat mod which modifies combat move animations?

I'm like the only one in the world who likes the original style combat, but I would say go for this one since it's developed by someone in the studio and probably be the closest to the witcher 3 combat system. http://witcher2.nexusmods.com/mods/635/? Now when you get into the first chapter it will get kind of slow, but after you kill the kayran things start to speed up and then it starts to take you in. The first half of chapter 1 is mostly grinding imo.

760 does better at 1440p than the CU mini 670

No they perform so close in 1440p that it's mostly margin of error, but the performance of the gtx 670 is slightly higher http://www.anandtech.com/show/7103/nvidia-geforce-gtx-760-review

Edit: I want to point out that I am now interested in doing a build in this case. Lol It will be for a friend.

This will be my soul gaming rig as well as just my regular computer, it will do what I want it to do, I hardly ever game now, but when I do, I want to be able to move my rig around very easily and take it on trips and what not.

Who cares if Windows 8 is faster, it's Windows 8, enough reason not to get it...

The rig is a small form factor, what does the screen have to do with the rig, I can fit a 27" monitor in my car just fine, but lifting a 30 pound computer into the car where it will likely fall over and just be a general hazard.

Mod the case to fit a larger graphics card... You mean cut a whole in the bottom so I can get more power out of it... The 450W PSU (practically the only SFX that will fit in the case while I have the water cooler in there) can't handle the 770 or 780, let alone a 7970 or any other amd card.
