If it's a 4GB card that can do at least 1250Mhz on the core then I would say yes if not tell them to go fornicate with a trash compactor.

Yes i got a 280 from a friend for 80€ and it performs a lot better than my friends 760. I overclocked it to 1250mhz and now it gets almost same performance as my gtx 770

wooh a 280 at 1250mhz. Nice job, unless you are cranking up the voltage/power limit I cant get past 1100mhz on my 380
