G2A Opinions?

I'm looking at a couple of games and I keep stumbling across G2A. The deals seem almost too good to be true. Is it truly a good service? Also, I like using Steam, so can I add games to my Steam Library not purchase via Steam? Thanks for any help.

It works. I bought two games from it this week. It's had some shady history but basically the jist is the keys are bought in countries with lower salaries and as such are cheaper in the local currency. People then post them for sale at massively reduced prices compared to what the rest of the world is used to and everyone (except steam) gets happy.

There have been lots of issues with G2A, use it at your own risk.

Ive bought games through it before and had no issues, but there have been many who have had issues too.

Usually you can add them on steam

It's like Ebay,

Sometimes you'll get scammed, but there are ways to protect yourself

I've bought a few games and seems like ill continue on buying games there since the Canadian dollar is dropping like a fly, G2A is the only place where i can get AAA games for the normal price of 60 dollars....

I've used them, i haven't had any issues.

G2A is semi-legit. Most of codes are real but some are fakes which is why for a game of any real value buy G2A shield.

Secondly watch out for region locks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thrid thing is to also watch for what platform they are for - some are steam keys, others origin etc.

I've successfully bought 3-4 games from G2A. Use the shield in the event you get a dud code.

ive used it once and didnt have any issues. but keep in mind, while many of the codes are legit. a lot of them are also codes that were gotten in masse via a promo of some kind.  like at my work when nvidia does a promo, i get hundreds of codes that i could just take home and sell online.  so yea a lot of the time the are "legit" but not really..  people say to get the shield, but everybody ive heard that has gotten it, and actually needed, hasnt gotten a refund. half the time they havent even gotten a response.

so its probably fine, but use at your own risk.

When I bought GTA5 I was unaware Social Club is required, so I was trying to validate my key in Steam and it failed. I contacted G2A and they promptly responded by saying it wasn't a Steam key and I need Social Club.

It's a real service. But much like Ebay, there are scammers and there's wonderful sellers. Just buy from highly rated sellers and use G2A Shield and you shouldn't have any issues.

When looking at games on G2A it says whether it's a Steam, Uplay, or Origin game. If it's a Steam game you will receive a key which you activate on Steam. It will appear with all your other games just like normal.

My whole library is from g2a give or take a couple. This consists of indie and many AAA games. Never had a problem apart from the whole Ubisoft and far cry 4 thing, which got sorted pretty quickly and never put me off using them.

It's not for me. I already feel like I get great deals from Steam, GMG, GOG, Humble, etc. Despite buying several brand new AAA games recently only a week or so after release, I haven't paid full price for a game in years. It may not be the strongest argument, but G2A makes me feel icky.

I've used G2A several times for games and timecards; never had a problem with either. If you're buying a product that you want to activate on steam just make sure you're buying a Steam key and it's for the correct region.

and we will live such tragedy in perpetuity.
