( Updated )Star Wars Battlefront Benchmarked On Nvidia And AMD, Runs Best On Radeon – Exceptionally Well Optimized Across The Board

Mr_Troll

Wanted to report that I've had not had any SLI issues, runs incredibly smooth for me. Around ~80fps at 1440p ultra settings, haven't really had many frame drops.
Maybe once or twice drops to low 70's..
Looks great

Higher frame rate over higher resolution.

i am glad that this game isn't really cpu bound, I wish that more reviewers would put in weaker cpu when benchmarking for people like me who have a amd x4 965be. i assume that my 7870 will do almost as well as 370. If they keep on improving or keeping the same amount of optimization on the game then this definitely a buy for me.

awesome to see how it performs even on a low end CPU

i got some nice numbers for you guys..

R9 295x2, at 3440x1440p

i get around 54 to 61 FPS at best, it does dip down to 30s during intense clashes.

I'll have to wait until the real game comes out (didn't get into beta) but i'll test all the CPU's and GPU's i have. Got plenty of APU laptops, and GPU's ranging from Fermi to Maxwell. I'll also test my G3258, my FX 8320, and an i5 4690k. See if i can't add more numbers for people that might be doubting current benchmarks.

Your 7870 will do fine. My 7870 (1200/1300) with an 8320 averaged 49 FPS with everything turned to the max at 1080. I personally turn of AA and turn Light quality and AO to high and gain 10 extra fps to be at essentially 60. Game runs very nicely, I'm impressed.

It's an open beta you should just be able to download it on Origin. It ends on Monday.

Played a bit of the Beta yesterday. Running a 290x and a FX8320 (I know, the CPU is really bad for games). However, running everything at ultra, at 1920x1200, with resolution scaling at 150%, I got smooth gameplay. Haven't checked the actual FPS yet, but it feels buttery smooth. Only downside so far, is the lag at the start, and score screen of a match is horrible, even uses all 8 cores at 90ish%, which I've yet to see in a game.

That said, really impressed so far with the Beta in terms of performance.

Edit: Uses 8 cores at loading, drops down to 40ish% usage during games.

Stoke me a clipper, I'll be back for breakfast.

do I know it wrong but doesn't the r7 370 usually perform worse then a 950? in wccf's benches it performs like a 960

Need I even say more? You just proved my point (sorry for taking so long to respond - sick :/)

A local retailer here has a 950 that is 1500 core out of the box ._. - GPU Boost 2.0 can literally do everything for you give there is headroom.

Sorry if I sounded arrogant - been a long and tiresome week >.<

Running a 280X with a i5 3570

It runs hella smooth at mostly high settings @ 2560x1440 with mnost stuff at high and texture and filtering at ultra. about 60 FPS.

That's what I've been finding funny. I can't manually overclock my GTX 970 but as soon as I max out the voltage and power sliders the damn card is boosting to nearly 1500MHz on its own. Manually overclocking it I'm lucky to hit 1400.

i'm getting solid 95-80 FPS (the latter is when a grenade blows up in my face) with an average of 88 fps with my 1554/1950 gtx 970.

on stock clocks (1324 boost) i'm getting 80-84 avg fps. not bad
