HELP Not sure what GPU to get.

Im currently looking to upgrade my GPU.

I have the hd 7870 sapphire 

cpu i7 4770k

ram 32gb

 

I do play a lot of games and Edit 4k. I don't have a limit but want it to be the best bang for buck. 

Please let me know what you guys think i should get. I need one asap.

980 ti is the best bang for buck at the moment.

A 390(x) or a 980 Ti -- 980 Ti is much better, though, it comes with a higher price

if the 980 is stock, which they never are. 980 is comparable to fury.

you need AT LEAST 1500 core and 2000 memory on a 980 to MATCH a Fury - Tek Syndicate did it with a 1517 core 980 Classified.

get an titan x xD no get an r9 390x but i think the best is the 980ti but if you dont have alot of my but what you wrote i dont see the problem of no money xD

Pretty sure the R9 390 is equivalent to the GTX 970, no? Does have more VRAM than a 980 Ti though, I'll give it that.

I said comparable. It matches it, after some serious ocing, but it's very close after normal overclocking.

980 ti is pretty much twice as powerful as a 390.

Sorry, I may have expressed myself incorrectly. What I meant to say was, the R9 390 is priced approximately equivalently to the GTX 970. I wholeheartedly agree with the notion that it beats the GTX 970 in terms of price-performance and performance at higher resolutions.  :)

You're kidding, right? The 390 is comparable to the 980 AT MOST. It's more of a 970 Ti kind of thing (if a 970 Ti existed).

 

Hell, even a 390X doesn't come close to the 980 Ti.

I do want to play 4k but I won't be most of the times, however i will be using a 4k tv with my computer, so i guess the question now has turned to 980ti vs 390x, i do want power and still want longevity, I do want the titan x but it is a big jump from the 980ti in price unless i can get a used one.
