Mac... urgh

I fixed the problem the printer went into deep sleep after every second, just changed that to 10 mins and put normal sleep for 5 mins

Hello I all I have to fix a mac but i no fkin clue what i am doing, my mums friend uses a mac and now i'm stuck having to fix "the printing problem"

there is about a 15-20 second delay between the print being sent to the printer via Ethernet

A print delay is normal.

my family uses macs and they all seem to have a similar problem, it might be more of the printer spooling up than the computer

a lot of printers have long delay like that for some reason with macs

buy a better quality printer and that issue should go away

The issue would be a driver issue, it may take OSX's print spooler service longer to respond to said message from the driver.

This will always happen until a new driver is released.

Check printer hardware/any failed jobs in the queue.

Reset the printer queue (see https://support.apple.com/kb/PH14141?locale=en_US&viewlocale=en_US)
