building a gaming rig for a friend, he has a max budget of $600, well it was $500 but he didnt factor in tax and shipping plus that would cut a few corners

Graphics card 7850

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102999

case and power supply, i would rather go with a better psu and case but i have to skimp to get a better graphics card for the budget

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16811147099

mother board, has to have usb 3.0 micro atx or m-itx prefered

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16813157395

RAM

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16820231416

SSD, he hasnt decided on either an SSD or a mechanical HDD yet, its one or the other, maybe a hybrid drive

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147188

CPU, best bang for the buck

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16819113328

DVD burner

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16827135204

at first i juggled the idea of an APU or an APU with a graphics card, but i think a dedicated card would be better

or i could go with an 1155 pentium system for the same price

Drop the DVD burner, do not get a case + PSU combo ever. Will update in a bit.

@vanwazltoff http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1rR8f

SSD slightly out of reach. buy it later. You can also upgrade to a different CPU or 990FX board with the bit of excess money. Should leave you at exactly under 600, not factoring in rebates.

if it was me i would drop the DVD burner, but some people actually use them =P. case and psu combo wasnt my first choice but its a rather strict budget that i am already pushing to the limits, maybe i can get him to drop the DVD so i can get a 80+ bronze PSU in there

Well i thought once you plugged your monitor into your graphics card, it only ran off your graphics card and not integrated graphics.

Certain APU's can Xfire with certain AMD cards but that's not what I was going for

It would not be a bad idea to get something like a hyper 212 and do a bit of overclocking on it.
