Good Buy?

Yeah I like them, if you can try it on before buying it. I tried it at pax east and for the most part really liked it.

Desk: monitors 3x Asus VE248h(eyefinity), Keyboard Cm Strom Trigger(mx red), Mouse Corsair m65, Headset Audio Technica ATH-M50

I have them for quite some time now, and I have to say that I am very impressed with the headset. The microphone is decent and the overall sound quality is impressive.

The only thing I don't like is the ANC function: not only do you need a AAA battery to power it, if it is enabled it makes your sound sound like balls. However, you won't hear ANYTHING from the outside ;)

 

I hope this helped a bit, I like the headset and I would recommend it to you without using the ANC function :)

I know the batery thing is a bit bad, but how u can disable the ANC thing its ok to me.

On a more serious note, try getting a better pair of headphones and a cheap mic instead, OP.  You might be surprised how much you were missing with a headset.

To not use the ANC funtion, just leave the battery out and leave the switch to OFF.

But, what @h264 above said, maybe you could also look for a pair of better quality headphones with a separate mic.
