Best gpu under 250

Hello. What is the best graphics card for under 250 dollars? I want to play games like ark and gmod as well as skyrim and witcher 3. I want to be able to play them at 1080p 60fps. I was considering the gigabyte or evga gtx 960 but i'm not sure.

I think a r9 290 is about $230

We literally all suggested the 380. The 960 is a crap ton slower. Pick up a 290 if you want something REALLY fast. You can get one for like $260 new. I got mine for $170 used.

The r9 290 uses a lot of power though. Does the r9 280x compete with the r9 380?

yes, but the 290 is quite a bit more powerful than both.

Wait for TONGA XT......if AMD ever ever releases one.......just get a 285/380/7970/280X/290/390 and call it a day.

I run a Vapor-x 290 with a 750 PSU and the fan for it has never come on once. 750w is overkill for a 290.
