Thermaltake vs Corsair SP Fans for Radiators..

jjjepong

Greetings!! I'd like to get the comments and insights of our community with regards to the fans I might end up getting for my Radiators..

Corsair SP 120 High Static 120mm RED LED vs Thermaltake Riing 12

PROS/CONS? I'd be using about 6 of these for my unit.. 4 fans for pushpull at the front of the case and 2 fans at the top as exhaust both onto my radiator.

Which is Quieter? or overall the better fan?

Please don't suggest other fans I could buy as these 2 are the only SP fans available in my area..

Thanks!! ;)

just dont buy anything from thermaltake

they are a POS company that takes other people's designs and replicates them with cheap materials in china

also corsair fans are loud, if you care about noise level get something from noctua, bequiet, or fractal design

you dont need "SP" fans for a radiator, any fan will work if it has decent static pressure

Haha, I see enough SP120 haters in this forum. For the same money, for sure there are better fans than SP120. But SP120 is not as awful as some people suggest.

They perform very similar:

Can you give me a suggestion on which you would rather buy?

I have them priced at:

Corsair Dual Packs: 1099 PHP about 25 USD

TT Riing 12 Triple Packs: 2100 PHP about 47 USD

I REALLY LIKE WHAT LOOKS GOOD.. but don't want to sacrifice Noise and Performance as well :(

Like I said man.. There's no other fans I can get.. I do have a Cooler Master Sickle Flow 120mm but IMO it's LOUD..

I ONLY have the option to get either the Corsair/Thermaltake Fans at this time.

Question: Do you guys know which is louder? CM Sickle Flow 120mm/Corsair SP 120mm/TT Riing12?

Oh, man. This is a really tough call. Usually LED fans are for look, and performance is less of a priority. I have one Thermaltake fan. Which is definitely,,,,,,not very impressive. Maybe Corsair is the lesser evil in this group.

Your Cooler Master Sikleflow is a 2,000rpm version. What speed you are running at? Any fan will be noisy at 2,000rpm. Try to run lower speed, like 1,200rpm.

I have it running on 2000rpm coz if under volt it.. the LED lights are very dim or sometimes not even lighting up.. :(

Thermaltake Riing seems on paper to be the better fan.

Plus it might be fun to try this:

Yeah.. Saw that as well.. Really Really Cool but I'm not that too good with tinkering stuff. so i'm not sure how to do that.

There's a show in our area this coming December and I just MIGHT join.. So I don't want my System to look like a mess..

Corsair's fan leak air on the edge. Riing 120(only) have low light issue, cause uneven light effect.

I am (going to) using Riing 140 white for my rig. Good sp and lower noise lvl, better riing effect than the 120.
