You could go with a 5820k instead, cheaper but with less PCIe lanes or you could stay wih the 5930k and somehow fit the 400GB Intel 750 series SSD. Also, for a first gaming rig coming from console... Let's just say you'll never go back. Never.

Nice build, but you spend 5k for a build and you cannot spend 5 bucks more for a WD blue 1tb??

Barracuda's are just fine (although I currently have one failing on me after 850~ days of running) but he could go with all SSD storage for a 5k build

3X 1TB EVO's and call it a day lifetime.

4690K // 212 EVO // Z97-PRO // Vengeance 16GB // GTX 770 GTX 970 // MX100 128GB // Toshiba 1TB // Air 540 // HX650

tbh, he should go with a 2tb wd caviar black with that budget and 1 tb evo

Also a k95 rgb corsair keyboard is better than any razer.

The site has changed....

You're better off having a 1000W PSU, 1000W already is more than what you need. Also, I wouldn't trust Mad Catz, or Razer, with their products. I'd go with a other headset and with a K70 RGB or K95 RGB keyboard instead of the Razer one. Overall, nice build though. In my place, I'd also get an Acer XB270HU monitor instead of the ASUS one, it's IPS and still has a 144Hz refresh rate.

I would do this

A water-cooled mid-tier gaming PC.
