I dont see allot of Posts ab gtx 980 is there any reason for it ?

If you are going to spend that much money its much better to just go all the way to 980ti.

It is just because there have been some changes in the GPU world since the 980 came out, like the 980ti, 390x and fury. The 390x and fury either beat the 980 or tie with it in most instances while costing less.

A water-cooled mid-tier gaming PC.

the price/performance ratio sucks on gtx 980 compared to gtx 970 and gtx 980ti

It has a horrible price/performance ratio. And, not everyone can afford it anyway.

i mean its good card if you already have it 

but just if people are doing new builds right now, there really isnt much point to pay for 980

Most People who want a fast Card spend some extra Cash to get the 980Ti.

its true, the ti is a better way to spend your money on a gpu nowadays but the 980 is still a fantastic gpu.  notice I own a 980, got it for under $400usd as a "b-stock" unit.
