I want to make Skyrim look beautiful

DannyRyu

Whats the best compatible mods to put on skyrim to enhance graphical beauty and what not?

Best thing to do is find a youtube video with a shit tonne of mods installed, then have a look at what he/she has installed. Usually they will say, or most likely they are following some guide in a forum, so that will be your best bet.

There is way too many mods to count, all comes down to preference really.

Do you have the 'basic' mods already? (SKSE, SkyUI, etc.)

After that you will need some ENB (there are many around) texture overhauls (there are better ones than the one Bethesda made) and it's just about trying stuff and installing stuff..

Do you have your mod manager installed and set up already? (Like Mod Organizer)

Go on Nexus and read the Torturial.

Its alot of work and you need dozens of mods that work together. I have 75 mods for graphics alone.

There's a ton of vids on youtube that tell you how to mod the shiz out of skyrim, 4k textures, parallex effects realistic water textures, I went way OTT and now my game crashes randomly but I CBA to go through all my mods to find out which one is causing the crash...

Snip

Pretty much how mine looks, aside from Serious HD Retexture and a couple of others that I'm pretty sure there are other variants of...

I hate the NPC and creature models though, I wish someone would do a decent creature and NPC mod, not just pretty faces or something like that I mean add more fluidity to their movements, looking at the vid you can instantly tell how old the game is by looking at the NPC and creatures movements - only thing that hasn't been updated to a decent degree IMO

I was looking into this the other day do, without much effort or success though.

I never really got to play though Skyrim and went back to load up vanilla with Bethesda HD pack... ewww. The game looked so old... which I suppose is appropriate as it's almost 5 years old now.

RCRN AE at pure settings.

TBH the base HD textures with the fix are fine. lighting is the key to looks. Look for anything marked as RUSTIC though.

Knowledge is power, guard it well.
