Platinum vs. regular?

What type of PS2 games are typically more rare? The regular version or the Platinum version?

Does anybody have info on sales of the regular versions and platinum versions?

Specifically for the games Madagascar, DBZ Budokai 3 and Prince of Persia: Warrior Within.

Hmm, i'm not sure.. I would assume the platinum version as they release that after the original and anyone who already had the game isn't going to buy it again.

Well that's the thing, either way could be very possible.

Platinum could be more rare because of what you said and also because it may have a smaller print run...

But for example with the GameCube and Wii (systems I'm more familiar with) I know Player's Choice (GC equivalent to Platinum) and Nintendo Selects (Wii equivalent) are less rare and sought after.

You pretty much got it. It depends on the game and how many of them were made before/after it went platinum.
