Apple scores another victory in patent infringement fight against Samsung

What doesn't Apple patent? It is beyond crazy they can just patent something and everyone not only believes they created it but agrees that nothing should come after on the very vague idea they "created".

 

Apple is a power house that needs to be taken down.

The thing is, none of this makes any sense. It's software, it's not patent infringement unless the code is close to identical. You'd think that would be common sense.

Apple has patented the idea of "slide to unlock", not their particular implementation.

By patenting the problem rather than the solution they can go after far more people, including Samsung, even if their slide to unlock implementation is vastly different under the hood.

 

 

 

I'm crying foul because you have nothing of substance backing your position. American courts favor whoever has evidence. The European courts just favor whichever company is the underdog.

That is such a load of bullshit. Do I have to remind you that the Japanese court not only side with Samsung when Apple tries to sue them there, but Apple also had to pay all the costs.

And if you're going to bring up how biased that court is, remember that Japan and Korea are not exactly big fans of each other.

I wish Apple was VW and had to pay a 18 Billion dollar fine as Apple needs some logic

Most of you will never know the true pain of dealing with the USPTO and courts when dealing with big companies like this.  Count yourselves lucky that you don't have to see or hear the amount of BS that goes on.  So the result doesn't surprise me much.

After watching Tek Syndicates video about Apple, I totally understand why most people hate them as a company, not just because of how borring, overpriced and non optimised their product line is.

The thing is, none of this makes any sense. It's software, it's not patent infringement unless the code is close to identical. You'd think that would be common sense.

Here you basically can't patent code - it's under the same rights as books. Stuff like this are ridiculous and bring hate to Apple as a company. They will not sue Google, just because Google is huge(not as huge as Apple, but big enough to make similar steps as Apple in courts) and Apple will want to have a emergency plan B of using some of Google's services.

True, but Google is like the big boss, Apple is probably scared of them.  Considering Google still provides allot in the way of iOS. If there was no Youtube App and no Google Maps app and there were no google services on iOS.  People might switch. 

Google can do whatever they want, and they have the power to break apple by simply deciding not to make stuff for their products.  Simple as that.

Apple has the patent of a concept, "slide to unlock". Quote from the patent :

Depends, since Apple was the first to impliment it in a touchscreen phone, they could have it.  Although, slide to unlock is so vaugue that another company could have almost the same patent! 

 

Good to see the American courts siding with an American company, stinks of BS to me... So does that "patent". Samsung should just tell Apple to fuck off and not pay. Samsung is based in South Korea, what they going to do, send in bailiffs? lol.

Flat phone front, this makes sense.  But speaker girll, no.  And screen icons?!  And plugging in headphone?!! 

 

You have to remember, Apple was the king back then.  The court probably favoured them a lot, even though they aren't supposed to.
