Because of power settings. If you've already changed the Windows one, CSGO has one too.

1. You have an alienware and they are not the best IMO

2. It could be because the pc wants to save batter life when its not plugged in. Therefore decreasing performance.

It goes into a battery saving mode when not on charge, underclocking your components to make the battery better :) No need to worry, its normal. And theres prbably a way to turn it off, if you want that.

Every notebook does this! The reason is that the power that can be delivered goes down because of the battery can't deliver that much...

Im a little biased against them (same with like 75% of people on this fourm) Because they are highly overpriced and made of weak components.

I'm afraid i have no idea, you'll have to google that one, i dunno if its a windows thing (most likely) or an alienware.

Actually its probably in power management settings.

This happens with my Asus laptop too, I think it's a function where the performance is turned down when not plugged in in order to conserve battery life. There should be a setting to change it, possibly this (in Win7 anyway): Control Panel --> Power Options --> Change Plan Settings --> Change Advanced Power Settings. Not sure if this will fix it though.

I am also highly against them, but is it necessary to point it out to someone who already owns one?
