gtx 980 ti max OC?

Xyrock

im currently thinking to OC my gtx 980 ti but i red on some sites that if i overclock it too much the card will die. or is it just because of voltage?

how much is the safe maximum oc on core and mem on gtx 980 ti?

or is this another silicon lottery thing?

i dont wanna kill my card but i wanna try OCing this beauty.

gonna be using daily for gaming and common net surfing.

looking for max OC for 24/7 preset

i have reference model but will be upgrading it with the Evga Hybrid all in one Kit

Just turn clockspeed up till you start getting artifacts or temperatures start getting high

Case: NZXT phantom CPU:I5-4460 GPU:MSI-GTX1070 Gaming X RAM:2x4Gb-DDR3-HyperX fury MOBO:Asus Z97-P HDD:Toshiba 1Tb 7200rpm PSU:Sentey650W

I mean, turn clockspeed a bit up, test on Kombustor if artifacts start to appear and tempuratures aren't high, if everything is OK, proceed to turn it up a bit more again, rinse and repeat. You may also need to turn the power delivery up

The better cooling you have the more you can overclock, and there is also lots of factors that influence how much you can OC

im getting the EVGA HYBRID upgrade on my reference card. temp isnt going to be a problem.

just afraid of the warranty thing being voided.
