Posted September 9, 2015 I have a Air 540 Case, I need extra Harddrives, Since Air 540 only supports two. I'm plaining to attach them to the grill in the back above the SSD tray. Option 1: Feser Silent Arrow 2 x 3.5" HDD Adapter & Noise Absorber. Attach the HDD to them and then attach the device to grill using a rubber washer and HDD screw. Posted September 9, 2015 You could probably use those mounts in your 5.25" bays. Too thick. There are proper 5.25" bay adapters for hard drives that would work. Would be considerably less ghetto. Posted September 10, 2015 Any other opinions? Since you have an Air 540 you could get case parts from corsair and custom mount a drive cage on the PSU side of things: http://www.corsair.com/en-ca/cases/case-parts-and-accessories Updated Modding FAQ
 Posted September 10, 2015 Are both 5.25" bays already filled? If not you can get 5.25 to 3.5 converter inserts. Or go the aftermarket drive cage method.
Posted September 10, 2015 Use external HDD's. I don't know why people are so afraid of them, my WD 3TB is +150MB/s Open your eyes and break your chains. Console peasantry is just a state of mind. I could remove one from one of the 5.25 bays. I don't think that gives me enough room for two 3.25 drives. I use two of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817392075&cm_re=Vantec_Nexstar-_-17-392-075-_-Product As for your reply to me earlier, this would work: http://www.performance-pcs.com/akasa-ssd-hdd-adapter-2-5-3-5-dd-to-5-25.html INTEL CORE i5-7600K | ASUS ROG STRIX B250i GAMING | CRUCIAL BALLISTIX SPORT LT 16GB | EVGA GTX 970 SC | EVGA B3 550WSAMSUNG 850 EVO 250GB | CRYORIG M9i | BE QUIET! No, two 5.25" bays will usually accommodate three 3.5" drives, with a suitable adapter. But one 5/25" slot can only fit one 3.5" drive. I'd try to find something like this http://www.amazon.com/SilverStone-CFP53B-Drive-Suspension-Mounting/dp/B0034XRDV4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1441976532&sr=8-1&keywords=hard+drive+cage That will fit in the PSU compartment - maybe even replace the 2.5" drive cage if you are not using it.
