The best editing software?

Hey guys. I've edited on my MacBook for like 3 years, using Screenflow 4. Absolutely love it, it's served me well and never had problems. Then I got a gaming PC. Now I've been trying to edit on there. Screenflow is a Mac program, can't use that. I've been using windows movie maker for a few months. It was... 'okay'. But then I got an outro for my YouTube videos. I now have to overlay videos on top of videos. WMM can't do that. So I got Camtasia. Kind of works. Similar to Screenflow, I like it. Then it force quits on first render, freezes at 100% on second render, not such a good program. So what software do you guys use? Any good free ones? If not, let me know what you use because I really need help. Thanks a ton dudes! -Jordan. :D

sony vegas pro 13 and premier pro are the best

after effects is also great for short videos, like clips or intros

 

lightworks is not as good and harder to learn but its free

If you'll take the required time to learn Adobe rendering suite. Nothing gets close to the amount of feature it has.

You can pay monthly to get access to the whole suite.

PC is Intel Core i5 6400, GIgabyte H170 Gaming 3, Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x4GB 2400Mhz ,Sandisk Ultra Plus 128GB, WD Blue 1TB, NZXT S340, ASUS Geforce GTX 960. Fractal Design Tesla R2 650W. http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/793XNG. Graphics card choices don't always have to be dictated on performance. If you want the game stream and power consumption of the GTX 970 get that. If you want raw performance of the R9 390 get that. In the end we are all gamers, so what if your buddy gets an extra 5 fps?
