Would I notice a difference in performance between RAM speeds in a home server?

not anything above 1600

Personal Build Project "Rained-On"

helped building up the CPU Overclocking Database and GPU Overclocking Database, check them out ;)

just throw some DDR3 in there, cheapest you can find. Itll be fine
