If you don't need a performance boost then you don't need to overclock

You can, but really in gaming you won't see that much of a performance boost. Now overclocking the gpu is a different matter. That'll increase fps by 5-20 depending on what oc you can do.

he said depending on the OC. it also depends on the GPU and the game you are playing. and a lot of other things.

honestly, it is still possible.

 

also, if you decide to not overclock, you should get a locked CPU. that way you can save some money!

I overclocked my gpu and got a higher maximum fps of 20 and an average of of 15...

Edit: I also said 5-20fps...
