what class and gift would you recommend for a new player?

Go with your heart, this game is NO FUN with a guide, the point of the game is figuring it out :D

yeah I remember getting stuck and my ass kicked in DS1, I read up on stuff, and read a walk-through while playing, after like 2 hours i was killing everything easily and was like sprinting through areas to et loot etc

 

It became boring, put the guide away, immediately got killed and then it became 10x more fun

yeah, i also made his face extremely messed up and put the dragon tattoo directly in the middle of his face with it at about 2/3 largeness
