Wouldn't surprise me considering your profile picture is just ripped from google images.

I'm a game dev. There's some thinking and decision making involved in my job. I just happen to be thinking and making decisions from time to time...

Even if I machine could replace me, I'd still have to tell that machine exactly what to do, so it would be kind of pointless.

Yes and no, in analytical science humane andere machines meed each other, a machine van cwlculate what it want to do, but a conclusion is bases on factors a computer/machine had trouble calculating, Like the small factors that are diffrent Every measurement, like pipet volume which changes with temprature or extra liquid volume because thechemical dient dissolve properly or a unexplaineds/extra Chemical reaction including a proper conclusion(bases on guesses) should be virually impossible since there are a nearly infinte amount of options.

Edit:

Since hybrids got mentoines, sign me up as soon there is a reliable wat to enchant performance/Strengt/precission through artificial limbs,I will do it, even if it Costs me a arm and a leg.

I think it is going to be a while before engineers are replaced by robots. I'm safe, for now.

what if an AI got so advanced it started to wonder? it started to be conscious? I'm not saying that that's gonna happen, but what if?

and here is an interesting fact... what if this type of thing actually happened to machines and the robots are free and living as human now??  :P

Not any time soon, someone has to be able to go out to remote locations and  turn stuff off and back on again.

Considering the closest thing I have to an occupation right now is being a High School student. No.

Now as far as what I hope to do for my first job, well CGP Grey covered it in a video from a year or two ago and I'm sure machines will eventually replace baristas (the Keurig is an example of what an automated barista will sort of be like, it isn't too far fetched for it or technology like it to make blended ice coffee drinks or other drinks similar to what might require someone like a barista to make.)

Even as an introvert it does seem sort of unfortunate that a day will come where physical stores will be a niché isn't far off. Or the replacement of humans with technology. It's sort of happening already, take Applebee's and Chili's for example. They have tableside PoS systems to be an alternative to the need of the waiter/waitress taking your order.

Though once I graduate high school and maybe even college/university that story of me being completely replaceable might not be as solid as I want to get into Media Technologies (Like Graphic Design, Photography, Videography, etc.)

There was a website that calculates the odds I can't remember the name of it now but when I ran my job through I'm 0.3% likely to get replaced. Job security is pretty nice :)

EDIT: Sorry for poisoning the forum with the daily mail but it was the only place I could find the calculator.

Yes. And more automated versions of my current job already exist, we are just in a transition phase where the human-handled industry isn't dead quite yet. I give it 2-5 years though. I handed in my resignation yesterday lol. Moving on up!
